This years Cherry City Orchid Society Show & Sale Displays - 4 done by valley orchid societies and one by our own master orchid grower Jim Snyder. The CCOS display was set up by our President Deanna Hutchinson and her husband! Come to the Oregon Orchid Society Orchid Sale this weekend April 11-12 at Portland State University to see Deanna’s work and our orchids again!

Tonight is our monthly meeting. Tom Valente will be presenting "Orchid Show 101" where he'll walk you through registering and categorizing your orchid, judging criteria, and how to clean up your orchid for the event. We'll also have a plant auction. We hope to see you there!

Looking forward to seeing you this Wednesday, 12/10 for our Christmas potluck and raffle. We've ordered beautiful new orchids from Carmela Orchids Inc. for the Christmas raffle: For those of you that are members (or become members at the meeting), you'll get to go home with a brand new orchid. The remaining orchids will be up for sale as well. Come bring your orchid questions, plants for show and tell, and a dish for the potluck.

We'll be learning about and making miniature terrariums at our November meeting. CCOS will have Ornithocephalus patentilobus (not pictured), globes, and supplies for $20 (cash or check). This is a lovely example of the miniature terrariums with Psygmorchis pusilla. We hope to see you on the 12th at 6:30pm at the Salem 50+ Center.
