Haley is a 12-year-old, who was diagnosed with Batten Disease CLN1 in October 2017. Children suffer from progressive neurological impairment that leads to blindness, seizures, dementia, loss of motor skills, loss of speech, and loss of life. Since he
r diagnosis, Haley has lost many of her abilities. Once an active normal little girl, she is mostly blind, experiencing seizures, incontinence, dementia, and hallucinations. Her mobility is less and she only speaks a few words. She has not lost her spirit, however. Her joy for life inspires the fight to find a cure. We have teamed up with leading experts in the field of gene and regenerative therapy to fund research to stop Batten Disease. Awareness & research is key to saving Haley and children like her. OUR COMMITMENT
The saying "it takes a village" has never been more true. We are committed to hope... we are committed to love... we are committed to finding a cure. Please join us on this journey and to find a solution for not only Haley, but all children afflicted with this disease. OUR FIGHT
The cost to research and quickly bring FDA approved clinical trials and therapeutic treatments to children with Batten Disease is high. In addition, time is not on our side. SUCCESS
Our success will be realized when Haley and children like her have their symptom progression slowed, stopped and reversed, leading us to find a cure. The progress made with Batten disease will help other neurodegenerative diseases. Let's fight for the rare together
