Simply Birthdays Simply Birthdays provides birthday parties to children living in local homeless shelters, because e Every child deserves a birthday party.

Simply Birthdays provides opportunities for children and teens to celebrate their birthday during their birthday month. Through generous donations we provide birthday cakes and gifts in activity-filled parties at homeless shelters in the Salem/Keizer area. Each birthday child receives four or five gifts, and all children who attend the party receive a goodie-bag. At all parties, which are held eac

h month, we celebrate with games, crafts and activities for the whole family! Participating in birthday parties, whether directly or through donations, is an enriching experience and gives our community members an opportunity to “give back.” If you are interested in helping (in any capacity), please contact us! We look forward to sharing this wonderful experience with you!

We received a large donation of wonderful stuffed animals. I’ve been working on crocheting children’s sized blankets and scarf sets to accompany them. Might you be interested in contributing? We have a lot of the owls(which needs the scarf sets) and quite a variety of the other stuffed animals. I also pair these with books so would love contributions of books and blankets if you are interested in donating!

The 2025 final numbers are in! We helped 118 families celebrate their child's birthday in 2025! And since we started in 2015, we have served 598 children!! Thank YOU for helping make a positive difference in the lives of these children!!!

Thank you for your continued support! We've had quite a busy month with 14 birthdays in this month alone! That puts us at helping 118 families celebrate their children on their birthdays this year. WooHoo! Only possible because of generous people like YOU! In this season of gratitude, please know how grateful we are for your support!

On another note, due to the remodeling construction at Simonka Place, we will move to birthday-in-a-box rather than doing an in-house party. But we will resume monthly parties when the dust has settled!

Also, exciting news....we added another shelter: The Nest. This means that we are currently serving children at 7 of our local shelters!
