The Center for Hope & Safety is partnering with Pentacle Theatre - Salem, OR during Domestic Violence Awareness Month for the showing of Angel Street (Gaslight)* on Wednesday, October 21.

*Content Warning: This play depicts multiple forms of domestic violence and could be hard to watch, especially for survivors.

Ticket purchases for that evening contribute to our mission of supporting survivors in our community impacted by domestic and sexual violence.

It's not too late to race in Steps 2 Safety TOMORROW!!

Pre-registration closed on Thursday, October 1 at 11:59pm. Day-of Registration opens tomorrow at 8:15am at Minto Brown Island Park - Parking Lot #3. You can sign up the morning of the race to participate in our timed 5k or 1k fun run!

Racers who pre-registered can pick-up their assigned bib and race t-shirt starting at 8:15am at Minto Brown Island Park - Parking Lot #3.

All proceeds benefit the Center for Hope & Safety & the Marion County Domestic Violence Council initiatives. Thank you for your support!!

Happy Hispanic Heritage Month!

Hispanic Heritage Month is rooted in history. It begins on September 15, which marks the independence anniversaries of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua. Mexico celebrates its independence on September 16, and Chile on September 18. What began as Hispanic Heritage Week in 1968 was expanded to a month-long observance in 1988.

May this Hispanic Heritage Month be a time to celebrate these roots, honor families, recognize the resilience of our communities, and remember why representation matters.

¡Feliz mes de la herencia hispana!

El mes de la herencia hispana tiene sus raíces en la historia. Comienza el 15 de septiembre, y marca el aniversario de la independencia de Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, y Nicaragua. México celebra su independencia el 16 de septiembre, y Chile el 18 de septiembre. Lo que comenzó como una semana de la herencia hispana en 1968 fue aumentado a un mes de observación in 1988.
