Center for Hope & Safety Advocacy and Outreach Director, Divina, attended the Oregon Human Development Corporation's 2026 Farmerworkers Summit on August 4. This event brings together community leaders, service providers, educators, advocates, and partners who are committed to uplifting and supporting farmworker communities. Divina shares, "Being part of the Farmworker Summit strengthened my commitment to building relationships and partnerships that help survivors access the resources and support they need. As a Latina leader and advocate, I’m proud to use my voice to connect our communities, strengthen collaboration, and advocate for better outcomes for survivors."

La directora de abogacía del Centro de Esperanza y Seguridad, Divina, asistió al Oregon Human Development Corporation's 2026 Farmworkers Summit el 4 de agosto. Este evento reúne a lideres de la comunidad, proveedores de servicio, educadores, intercesoras, y socios que están comprometidos a apoyar y levantar las comunidades de campesinos. Center for Hope & Safety attended the National Night Outs in Woodburn and Gervais yesterday! It was great to connect with our communities in Northern Marion County and share our mission and resources. Together, we can build safer communities for survivors of violence.

🌞CHS Summer BBQ🌞

Last week, our staff gathered for a Summer BBQ with family and friends. It is so special to be in community with everyone outside of work hours to celebrate the impactful services provided every hour of every day. Thank you to our advocates for your unwavering support and dedication to survivors.

We also extend gratitude to our wonderful volunteer advocates for making this event possible for staff by covering the hotline. We hope to gather with our volunteers soon!

Es tan especial estar en comunidad con todos fuera de las horas laborales para celebrar los servicios impactantes que se ofrecen cada hora y cada día. Items can be dropped off at our Salem Advocacy Office at 605 Center St NE, Salem, OR 97301 during business hours.

Throughout the year, CHS is invited to local events and resource fairs to share our mission and resources with the community. Earlier this month, CHS attended the St. Paul Rodeo for Domestic Violence Awareness Night by the ManUp Crusade. We love the summertime when these opportunities take us outdoors to enjoy the sunshine!

The Social Impact Grant has been essential in providing reliable transportation for survivors of violence to seek healthcare, attend school, access emergency services, go to court, and much more. Through this support, lives have truly been changed.
