🌟 National Night Out - Tuesday, August 4, 2026 🌟
Caring for Every Block: Salem's Block Party Night!

Join us in celebrating the partnership between residents and police to make our neighborhoods safer. Since 1984, Salem has participated in National Night Out on the first Tuesday of August, along with communities across America. Here in Salem, we encourage neighbors to host individual parties right on their block!

What to Expect:

Time: Evening hours (around 6 PM - 9 PM)
Neighborhood Block Parties: Each block party is unique! Whether you choose to host a simple ice cream social or a more elaborate cookout with music and games, it’s all about what you make it. You can even request a police team to stop by for a visit!

Host Your Own Block Party:
Register: Visit www.cityofsalem.net/nno to sign up. After registering, you’ll receive a confirmation email with important details.
Street Closure/Park Use: If you want to block off your street or use a city park, complete a registration form. The permit fee is waived for National Night Out!
Deadline: Submit requests for street closures or park use by July 26, 2026.

Questions? Call the Salem Police Community Engagement Section at 503-588-6175.

Let’s make this National Night Out a night to remember!
