Salem Harvest is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization established in 2010 that harvests local produce that would go to waste and donates it for distribution throughout the community. Marion-Polk Food Share is our largest distribution partner. On average, 400,000 pounds of fresh, locally-grown fruits and vegetables are harvested per year by volunteers and their families, making Salem Harvest the la

rgest community harvesting organization in Oregon. In a state with one of the highest rates of childhood hunger, Salem Harvest volunteers and growers have the opportunity to provide direct support for thousands of families and individuals. Whether you are a farmer, neighborhood tree owner, interested volunteer, or someone who just wants to participate in a harvest, we invite you to join us in our mission of building a compassionate community where neighbors help neighbors in a spirit of goodwill, where hungry families can gain self-sufficiency, where our urban and rural bounty is recognized and appreciated, and where simple, sustainable lifestyles are celebrated.

Support a great cause and join a day of family fun at the Race to Save the Harvest! Join us Saturday, June 27 for a 3k or 5k race course through Minto Brown park. Yard games, raffles, bike powered smoothies, and more to follow!

Proceeds from the race support Salem Harvest's work all year long. Volunteers for Salem Harvest gather fresh produce from local farms & backyards that would otherwise go to waste and make it available for hungry families throughout the Willamette Valley.

This week is your last chance to register for the Race to Save the Harvest at our lowest prices offered AND get a t-shirt with your registration. Before June 5th, adult registrations are $25 and kid registrations are $15.

On June 5th, prices increase to $30 for adults and $20 for kids, and registrants do NOT get a t-shirt. Don't wait!

Time is running out before our prices increase for the 9th annual Race to Save the Harvest! Before June 5th, adult registrations are $25 and kid registrations are $15, AND all registrants get a t-shirt.
