Applause, please! 👏The Law Office of James Steele does it AGAIN! For the 6th time, the firm is taking home The Attorney General's Cup for their efforts to nourish neighbors living with hunger.

For two weeks, law offices across Southwest Virginia championed for those in need. Their efforts will allow our Food Bank to distribute the equivalent of more than 🥳135,000 MEALS!🤩

Keep an eye out for a blue bag delivery near you! This Saturday (tomorrow!) marks our 33rd year of partnership with the National Association of Letter Carriers. You can help our Food Bank make a true difference with a donation this weekend. Simply fill up the bag with non-perishable foods; your local letter carrier will handle the rest! No glass items, please.
If you did not receive a blue bag, no worries. Simply leave any bag of donated food by your mailbox and the postal worker will pick it up.

April 1st kicks off VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION MONTH! 🎉🤩 Of course, we appreciate our volunteers every day of the week. No April Fool's Joke here - our mission truly depends on the kind and caring support of volunteers! ✅

⭐Learn more about what one of our featured volunteers, Corrine, has to say:

"I've volunteered with Feeding Southwest Virginia for five years now. I'm here because - you could say - I came from a privileged background. I was very lucky in that respect. When I moved down [to Abingdon], I was shocked by the need."

Corrine continues, "Volunteering was what I needed to do. It was my way to give back and give back to the community, so hopefully, they could experience what I did growing up."

Corrine volunteers with the Children's Feeding Kitchen and Harvest Home Community Kitchen and Pantry in Abingdon of Washington County.

In Washington County, more than 7,000 neighbors experience food insecurity. We are so grateful for Corrine's commitment to these neighbors in need. She is truly making a difference.
