A pallet yard in Lisbon erupted into flames on Monday, closing a portion of state Route 45 near the intersection of Lincoln Way as the Lisbon Fire Department and other local fire crews battled the blaze. Smoke from the fire, which began around 4:30 p.m. at the Lisbon Pallet located on Grant Street, could be seen for miles — as far away as Boardman and Carroll County. By 5:30 p.m. structures on the property were fully involved. Departments from West Point, Hanover, Center and Elkrun townships assisted Lisbon in containing the fire. Emergency crews remained at the scene late Monday evening. The cause of the blaze remains under investigation. The property has a long history of fires, with it last catching on fire in 2019

Fire departments for several communities are on the scene. An ambulance and a medical helicopter have been dispatched to the 8500 block of Huxley Road in Ellsworth Township.
Dispatchers got calls from several people at around 7:15 a.m. Saturday reporting that the blast shook their homes.
First responders reported that the home had been destroyed, but was still on fire.
After the fire was put out, rescuers searched the home for victims. Debris, including home insulation, is scattered throughout the blast scene
There are at least four victims, and at least one death.

The Ohio Fire Marshal and the Mahoning County Coroner have been called to investigate the cause of a deadly house explosion in Ellsworth Township.

Salem, Ohio Ordinance on Garage/Yard Sales - (A MUST READ) SCREEN SHOT PICTURES of the ORDINANCE is shown BELOW.
Under the new ordinance the number of sales at any given address is limited to six each year and a maximum of one sale in any month with a maximum length of five days. I was also warned that any Yard/Garage Sale Signs is to remain only in your own yard & that any sign found between street to sidewalk will be taken down by the CITY OF SALEM (although they failed to include that part in the Garage/Yard Sale Ordinance.
