NSHS Band Boosters The NSHS Band Boosters exists to support aka boost the band program at North Salem High School which is the oldest band program in Salem, Oregon.

We are a registered non-profit that runs fundraisers and other events to promote the band.

PAB/North Salem High School Band Boosters 501(c)(3) status update:

The Oregon Secretary of State has accepted the name change of our organization to Performing Arts Boosters (PAB).

This is a great point to stop and celebrate this achievement! This project began in Fall 2024 — thank you to everyone who has helped to move it along!

Next steps include updating the name and officers at all government organizations and accounts where the name needs to be changed.

As a reminder, the organization can operate under any of these names:

North Salem High School Choir Boosters
North Salem High School Theater Boosters
North Salem High School Orchestra Boosters

Your Band Program Representative is Dominique Lopez. Dom works with the band director, Ms. Poole, to coordinate with the PAB for budget/money requests.

Thank you to everyone in the East Lancaster Neighborhood Association, Grant Neighborhood Association, Highland Neighbors, Northeast Neighbors - NEN, NESCA, North Lancaster Neighborhood Association, Northgate Neighborhood, North Salem Alumni & Community (Oregon), Englewood Neighborhood, Crazy Dough Artisan Pizza, volunteer drivers and sorters, and all of our Viking families near and far for supporting the choir, band and orchestra students who collected and sorted donations and refundable cans & bottles during North Salem High School’s Music Day fundraiser on Sept. 13.

Today was the final day in office for Virgil Guthrie and Brooke Edmunds, our Vice President and Secretary, respectively.

Virgil stepped in to fill a vacant position last fall and Brooke completed one full term.

We appreciate their dedication and service on the board and to the band program, and we look forward to continuing to volunteer alongside them this school year.
