If you are looking for a place to practice your talent in front of a crowd, come on down. Each talent will be able to play three songs or do a five minute monologue.

So Guitars for Vets has a Secret...we are a "extremely low barrier entry program" for military veterans to participate with...that will then cause many of them to be exposed to the larger veteran community and programs with in our area... where they can receive even more help.

Don't believe us? Ask our alumni including our coordinator and volunteers. 🥰

All while learning a healthly tool to address depression, anxiety and PTSD. 🎸🎶

We are exceedingly grateful for the veterans and programs that continue to jam out with us! 💚

As of now our chapter has graduated 102 students. Tonight was a very special night because we got to celebrate 5 years and over 100 graduates. We also announced that come October we will be teaching our lessons at Uptown Music. This is a evolution of the amazing partnership we have had since the very beginning. Come January next year we will be teaching the electric guitar also.

Looking over the years its been hard to believe we are at this point. That wasn't without the support of so many people and organizations. We have more to share in the future but until then just know that me...David Welch, I am over flowing with joy and love. This veterans community has given me a chance to be the person I want and needed to be for my own mental health journey. So thank you for your trust and kindness. 💚

Thank you once again to Honoring Heroes who ran the grill tonight and brought so much food. You guys are truly amazing.

Also thank you to the Salem Elks Lodge #336 for letting us use this great space to celebrate. It means alot.

Thank you to Capital Community Media for filming the event.

Lastly thank you to our community partners that were able to make the event.
