🇺🇸 SOVAH is proud to support organizations that continue showing up for our veteran community.

Stay Alive Vets is a nonprofit that raises funds to support other organizations providing programs, resources, and opportunities for veterans throughout Oregon.

This year, Stay Alive Vets awarded funding to Serving Our Veterans at Home (SOVA) to help support our Veterans Stand Down and outdoor therapeutic activities for veterans, including surfing and camping experiences. We are incredibly grateful for their support and investment in the veterans we serve. ❤️🤍💙

We invite our SOVAH community, friends, supporters, and fellow veterans to join Stay Alive Vets for their 6th Annual SAV Gala this Veterans Day.

That’s a wrap folks !!

Thank you to everyone who came out and supported this year’s Veterans Stand Down!

Each year, the number of providers and veterans attending continues to grow, and that’s all we can ask for. ❤️

Today was amazing. It showed just how incredible our community is when everyone comes together for one purpose: supporting our Veterans.

A special shout-out to Tanner’s Project for cooking an amazing meal for everyone this year! 🍽️❤️

A HUGE thank you to Mid-Willamette Valley Community Action Agency (MWVCAA) for providing more than half of their staff to volunteer at today’s event. That kind of support means so much to us.

And the same goes for the Oregon Lottery! Their staff have been showing up and volunteering at this event for more than five years. Thank you for continuing to come back year after year and support our veteran community. 🇺🇸

And, of course, THANK YOU to every single volunteer who gave their time today. We truly could not pull off an event like this without all of you. From setting up, registering veterans and providers, helping with parking, serving food, answering questions, cleaning up, and everything in between, YOU are what makes this event possible.

And let’s not forget about the Salem Withnell Family YMCA staff specially Jordan Blake & David ! Thank you for being so incredibly helpful throughout the entire event, from helping us with setup to making sure everything ran smoothly throughout the day. Your support, flexibility, and willingness to jump in wherever needed made such a difference. We truly could not have pulled off such a successful Stand Down without you. ❤️🇺🇸

Thank you for opening your doors to our veterans and our community and for being such an amazing partner!

Today was a beautiful reminder of what can happen when a community shows up for its Veterans.

More than 50 service providers will be in downtown Salem Sept. 2 for a free Veterans Stand Down offering health care, benefits assistance, job resources and more.

The event is open to all veterans and current service members.

🇺🇸 MEET ONE OF OUR LOCAL VETERAN ADVOCATES! 🇺🇸

We’re excited to have Retired U.S. Marine Corps Gunnery Sergeant Eddie Ranger, one of our local Veterans Service Officers (VSO) here in Marion County, joining us at this year’s Mid-Willamette Valley Veterans Stand Down!

Eddie is amazing at what he does and truly dedicated to helping our veteran community. ❤️🤍💙

Eddie will be on-site at the Stand Down to assist veterans with:

⭐ VA disability claims
⭐ Questions about existing claims
⭐ Understanding VA benefits
⭐ Getting connected with the right resources
⭐ General questions about the claims process

Have questions about your VA claim or don’t know where to start? This is your chance to sit down with a VSO and get some answers!

Our 1st Veterans / Family Camping trip at On the Edge Farm is officially in the books! 🇺🇸🏕️❤️

What a great time together! We even got incredibly lucky and arrived just moments after a new baby calf was born. 🐮🥹 Needless to say, the unexpected new arrival completely stole the show!

We still managed to squeeze in some painting, and morning coffee by pond , with plenty of time outdoors, and great fellowship.

There’s just something special about slowing down, spending time in nature, and connecting with one another. ❤️🤍💙
