The Christian Game Developers Conference

The Christian Game Developers Conference The Christian Game Developers Conference is an annual gathering with the purpose of encouraging game developers to be a light for Christ in their industry.

The Christian Game Developers Conference is the largest gathering with the purpose of encouraging game developers, in both software and traditional mediums, to apply Christian principles to their industry. Some developers are involved in creating games made specifically to glorify God. Others work for secular companies and are Godly influences at their place of employment. But wherever they are, t

hey need encouragement to stand up for morality and truth in an industry that can often be fighting these ideals - and the CGDC is a great place to get that encouragement. In addition to the inspirational messages, there are also talks and workshops on topics from game design to business marketing to QA processes. At no other conference in the world can you walk out from a message on integrating Christian concepts with games and into a workshop on particle physics, discuss optimizing a website for visibility on search engines, and then hear a debate on interactive storytelling that hinges on the issues of freewill vs. predestination, or find yourself philosophizing late at night with five different Christian game designers from three different countries. FREE AI-Assisted Game Dev Workshop

Feb 21st, 11 am - 2 pm CST

Forget vibe coding — learn how to effectively harness generative AI to program games without sacrificing quality!

In this hands-on workshop, we’ll walk you through how to get started integrating AI into your game programming workflow, including:

How LLMs work, when to use them, and how different models compare for development tasks

Using the Cursor IDE and its built-in AI tools

A repeatable process for guiding AI from planning through implementation, so you stay in control

Putting it all together in Unity (though this works for any game engine!)No prior AI experience needed! This workshop will begin with 2 hours of teaching and guidance, followed by an open time for you to experiment and ask questions.

After this workshop, you'll have the tools and confidence to start using AI in your own projects!

At first blush, you might assume that games are our primary focus at CGDC, given that "Game Developers" is in our name. Nevertheless, as the leadership has continued to seek the Lord's direction and purposes for this community and its role in gaming, a subtle yet important distinction has become clear: games are our fruit, not our focus.

Speaker Spotlight: Benjamin Carcich

Benjamin Carcich started his career as a military officer before shifting into game dev at Riot Games working on League of Legends. He spent over 8 years there, starting in associate production roles and eventually advancing to director roles.

He left Riot to start a consultancy in 2020, realizing his ability to change the industry through better leadership would be best realized independently. Ben has supported individual producers, game studios, and publishers ever since.
Ben spent time on League post-launch (2011-2017) and on Valorant while it was in R&D.

He’s a certified co-active coach and official ICAgile trainer and has been teaching concepts around Agility, Production, and Game Development Leadership since 2015. Ben hosts the Building Better Games podcast and newsletter and has spoken at multiple events including GDC, IGDC, Shawnee Game Conference and more.

We're excited to announce that, for the first time, CGDC has partnered with a ministry to create a game. It represents our first steps toward connecting the dots between ministries and Christian game developers.

The Salvation Poem Project not only sees the potential for games to promote the gospel, but it also believes in the work CGDC is doing to sow into Christian game developers, bringing good, beautiful, and true entertainment into the world.
