What an AMAZING and eventful day we had at Noah-Christian Academy! Today was filled with learning, laughter, encouragement, and inspiration.

We were honored to welcome Officer Fleming, with the Salem Police Department who spent time speaking with our students about safety, awareness, and making wise choices. The excitement continued with a surprise visit from Officer David Goodman and the department’s mascot, Safety Pup, who brought smiles, fun, and joy to our scholars throughout the day!

As special as that was, the day became even more meaningful when three former NCA students returned to visit us. These outstanding young men are preparing to graduate high school and each shared their accomplishments, experiences, and future goals with our students.

One student is graduating as valedictorian, is already a licensed pilot, has his Associates degree, and will be attending Liberty University. Another is a dedicated volunteer and student athlete who has earned a scholarship to West Virginia State University. The third is a student athlete recognized as the #1 Wide Receiver in Virginia and ranked among the Top 40 in the nation, and he has committed to Virginia Tech University.

What touched our hearts the most was hearing each of them express that the foundation, education, love, guidance, and support they received here at NCA played a major role in helping shape their success. Moments like today remind us that the seeds planted in our students truly matter. We are incredibly proud of these young men and grateful to witness the amazing things our former students are accomplishing.

Thank you to the Salem Police Department, our alumni, staff, families, and supporters for helping make today so special.The future is bright at NCA! 💜💛📚✨

The older students had an amazing time participating in a Paper Airplane STEM Project! This hands-on activity combined creativity, teamwork, problem-solving, and engineering skills in a fun and engaging way. Students worked both individually and in groups as they designed, tested, and improved their paper airplanes while learning about flight, distance, and aerodynamics.
The competition was exciting from start to finish! 🎉

✈️ Longest individual flight: 10.5 feet
✈️ Longest group flight: 13.10 feet

We love providing opportunities that make learning interactive and memorable while encouraging our students to think critically, collaborate, and have fun in the process. Great job to all of our young engineers! We are proud of your creativity, teamwork, and determination. 💜💛

📣One of the joys our administrator has cherished since relocating to Salem is taking students on walks to Roanoke College — her undergraduate alma mater. Over the years, both former students and participants from our community center have also had opportunities to experience college tours and campus visits. It has always been such a meaningful and exciting experience for our students. 🙌

Today’s beautiful weather made it the perfect day for a small group outing, and while heading back, they had the special honor and pleasure of meeting the college’s president, Dr. Frank Shushok. What a memorable moment and wonderful encouragement for our young scholars!💜💛

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Ms. Lee for another wonderful year of service as our Guidance Counselor. Words truly cannot express how much we love and appreciate her dedication, compassion, and unwavering support for our school, our students, and the youth within our community. She is truly a gem, and we are incredibly blessed to have her as part of the NCA family.

Today, Ms. Lee shared her final lesson of the school year with our students by reading two inspiring books and leading meaningful discussions centered around “I Am Enough” and the importance of “Just Reading.” Every lesson she brings reflects our mission of educating and nurturing the whole child.

To make the day even more special, she lovingly gifted each student with a book, snacks, and a bookmark.

Our hearts are full of gratitude. Thank you, Ms. Lee, for the impact you continue to make in the lives of our students! 💜💛
