Biggie Paws Rescue Biggie Paws Rescue (BPR), is a foster based 501(c)3 non-profit rescue serving WI and IL. All pets are re-homed based on their specific needs and best interest.

Our animals most often come to our attention through rescues in Texas who we have partnered with to help decrease the homeless pet population and reduce the high euthanasia rates in shelters. We believe by educating the public about the importance of adoption and spay and neuter, we are helping reduce that number and hopefully one day we won’t be needed. All pets will have a home and are “adoptable” if we find the right family. All animals are taken to our veterinarian partners for a complete examination, worming, vaccinations, spaying/neutering (as breed/age appropriate) and micro-chipped. We provide medical care and a safe, nurturing environment for our animals to enjoy while they await adoption in foster homes. We want our rescued pets to experience love in a real home, getting the love and attention they need while waiting for their new forever families. To ensure these animals are placed into the right loving home, we adhere to a rigorous adoption process. Reference and background checks are performed, adoption interviews are conducted along with virtual home visits. Our overall goal is to ensure the pet is healthy, sterilized, and best match for the potential adopter in an effort to reduce any chance that the pet will be returned. Our organization is 100% funded by donors so that we may provide shelter, medical care, and so much more to the many homeless animals that come our way. We are very thankful for all our fosters, volunteers and donors who contribute their time, money, home and hearts, allowing us to continue our mission of rescuing and rehoming abandoned, neglected and unwanted pets.

Two baby blues. An old soul. And approximately 87 years of wisdom packed into a 9-week-old puppy. 😂🩵

Meet Ethel! She’s sweet, smart, confident and prefers to observe the situation before deciding whether it deserves her participation. She loves other dogs, outdoor adventures, her stuffed lamb and quietly judging her brother Ron’s questionable decisions. 😂

Basically, she’s a tiny old lady disguised as a ridiculously gorgeous puppy.

ETHEL 🩵🐾

If Ron is the resident little weirdo, Ethel is the one wondering how she ended up related to him. 😂

Ethel and her brother Ron were dumped in front of a grocery store at just weeks old. Not exactly the beginning these babies deserved, but this 9-week-old, 10.5-pound girl has handled the whole thing with the quiet dignity of someone approximately 87 years old trapped inside a puppy’s body.

And then there are those eyes. Two absolutely ridiculous baby blues that somehow fit her perfectly. 🩵🩵

Ethel is the old soul of the pair. While Ron is busy doing Ron things, Ethel prefers to sit back, observe the situation and decide whether it actually deserves her participation. 😂 She’s easygoing, smart, confident and independent, with a maturity that seems slightly suspicious for a 9-week-old puppy.

Don’t mistake “mature” for boring, though. Ethel LOVES playing with her brother, going for walks, exploring outside and carrying around her beloved stuffed lamb. She just approaches life with a little more thought and a lot less chaos.

She loves other dogs and enjoys her foster siblings. She’s curious about cats but also gives them a healthy amount of respect. She hasn’t lived with kids, but we think older kids who understand her slightly more laid-back style could be a great fit.

Ethel is also a total sweetheart who loves being held and getting affection — she just doesn’t need to be the center of attention every second of the day. She’s perfectly content being her confident, independent little self.

She’s crate trained, doing VERY well with potty training and working on her leash skills. Her ideal home would probably be a little quieter than her brother’s — somewhere she can have adventures and play, but also enjoy her favorite pastime: sitting back and contemplating everyone else’s questionable decisions. 😂

If you’ve always wanted a tiny old lady disguised as a gorgeous puppy, Ethel would like to review your application.

One blue eye. One brown eye. 100% little weirdo. 😂🐾

Meet Ron! This 9-week-old goofball was dumped outside a grocery store with his sister Ethel, but you’d never know it by his outlook on life. He loves dogs, adventures, belly rubs, chasing his own tail…and then crashing HARD. 😂

Smart, sweet, silly and guaranteed to make you smile. 🩵

RON 🐾

Meet Ron — one half of the infamous Ron & Ethel grocery store duo. 😂

Ron and his sister Ethel were dumped in front of a grocery store, which is a pretty crappy way to start life. Thankfully, Ron hasn’t let it affect his outlook one bit. This 9-week-old, 10.5-pound little weirdo is happy, hilarious, ridiculously sweet and comes with one blue eye and one brown eye — because apparently being adorable wasn’t enough.

Ron is the kind of puppy who just makes you laugh. He’s smart, easygoing and independent, but also perfectly happy to be scooped up for ear scratches and belly rubs. Basically, he wants to have his adventures and be babied afterward.

And adventures are VERY important to Ron. He loves being outside, going for walks, exploring anything that looks remotely interesting and wrestling with his sister. He also enjoys chasing his own tail, which so far remains undefeated. 😂

He absolutely loves other dogs and has a blast with his foster siblings. He was also quite interested in cats… until one of them gave him a complimentary lesson in boundaries. Ron took the feedback seriously and is now a little more cautious around his feline superiors. 😆

For all his puppy shenanigans, Ron actually has a pretty good head on his shoulders. He’s already crate trained, doing VERY well with potty training and working on his leash skills. Once he’s finished playing and exploring, this kid crashes HARD. There is apparently no setting between “Ron is doing things” and “Ron is unconscious.”

His perfect family would be on the active side and ready to include him in the fun. Another dog would be fantastic, and we think he’d enjoy having kids to grow up and play with too.

Mostly, Ron just needs someone who appreciates a smart, sweet, slightly ridiculous little dude who somehow went from being dumped outside a grocery store to acting like every single day is the best day of his life.

Life handed Ron lemons. Ron chased them around the yard and then took a nap. 😂🩵

🚨 TIME IS RUNNING OUT — WE NEED FOSTERS! 🚨

Our next transport is August 28th and we currently have ZERO dogs tagged. Our last transport only had 5 dogs because we simply did not have enough foster homes.

Look at these faces. They are waiting for someone to say YES. 🩵

If you have ever thought about fostering but haven’t taken the leap — NOW is the time. We desperately need new fosters, past fosters and anyone who can open their home to just one dog.

Fostering is temporary. The difference you make is forever.

We have several adoption events coming up in September, which means these pups will have opportunities to get out, be seen and hopefully find their forever families. We just need somewhere for them to land first.

Please don’t assume someone else will step up. We need YOU.

🐾 Transport: August 28th
🏠 Dogs tagged: ZERO

Can you help us change that?
