Need pesticide recertification credits? Silly question, I know. Well, the OHS is here to help! We'll be offering three 4-hour courses and each one is approved for 3 core credits and 1 regular credit.

That's right, just pick the day that works best for you: January 27, 28, or 29 and come get 4 credits...easy peasy.

The meetings will be held in the upstairs meeting rooms of Hall D at the Portland Expo Center from 9 am to 1 pm. To attend, you will need to register as an OHS member and you can do that by visiting our website at www.oregonhorticulturalsociety.org and filling out the 2015 membership form.

Then just come to the meeting and get your credits! Your membership also gets you access to the Orchard Fruit Seminar scheduled for Jan. 27 from 8 am - Noon. AND it gets you into the NW Ag Show for FREE with your registration name badge.

Big things to see at the Northwest Ag Show!

09/24/2014

We've made a change to our pesticide recertification courses: instead of 8 hours in one day, we've decided to offer a four hour block of classes on each morning of the NW Ag Show.

That means you'll have access to a total of 12 hours of recert hours with your OHS membership.

So, there will be a 4-hour class from 9 am to 1 pm on all of the following days: Tuesday, Jan. 27, Wednesday, Jan. 28 & Thursday, January 29.

You can get your hours in and then visit the show! And your OHS name badge gets you into the show for free!

Make plans to attend OHS's 8-hour pesticide recertification course coming up on January 27th! That's right...8 full hours of recert classes...all at once!

It will be divided into two 4-hour sections so feel free to attend the morning session, the afternoon session, or both!

Registration materials will be posted soon!

The OHS facilitates an annual scholarship of $1000 to a student studying agriculture/horticulture...just another way we work to give back to our industry and another example of how your membership benefits others.

Did you know that the Oregon Horticultural Society was incorporated in 1909, making it the second oldest horticultural society in the nation? That's right...we are second only to New York, which was established in 1902.

That's your fun fact for the day. You're welcome.
