A group of hikers delighted in the fall colors in the backcountry of Silver Falls State Park. A nine mile hike in the lush cover of moss draped trees was cool in the warming autumn day.

Join us on our many hikes offered in October.

The Chemeketan hikers had a beautiful day following the Trail of Ten Falls. A guest from North Carolina was properly wowed by the trail and the company of seasoned hikers explaining Oregon geology and history of the park.

Dear Friends,

It’s that time of year when we are seeking club members to be on the Chemeketans Executive Council. The council is the main decision making body for our club, and is vital to keeping us running and able to offer the hikes, climbs, and other excursions we all love so much.

I’m writing to you now with a request: please run for election to our council!

Elections are held each fall, and we have two seats that will be coming open this year. Running for a council seat is your chance to help steer the club and contribute to its ongoing vitality.

Responsibilities depend on the position, but include attending a monthly meeting on zoom and performing other tasks in between. This work is vital to the success of our club, but doesn’t usually take more than a few hours a month.

If you are interested in running for council, or have any other questions, please feel free to reach out to me ([email protected]) or any other member of the council.

We need your voice!
