For the kids!!

Salem Dream Center

09/08/2026

Wow… the dust has finally settled, and the kids are officially back at school!

First, thank you to everyone who has been patient with us and, more importantly, supported us throughout another incredible year.

Our golf tournament raised $23,000, and because of our amazing community, we were able to distribute more than 360 backpacks filled with school supplies to local schools and nonprofits. We also partnered with organizations and schools throughout our area to help provide additional backpacks and supplies to families who needed them.

But it didn’t stop there.

We were also able to help local students who were looking for sponsorships to participate in sports and create opportunities for kids to continue doing what they love.

To say this was a successful year would be an understatement.

This past year, we helped put together a basketball training facility for our youth athletes and opened the doors to CYOJ HitLab. Has it been easy? Absolutely not.

But we aren’t going to stop.

We’re going to keep showing up for our kids and our community.

A huge shoutout to everyone who continues to support CYOJ, and especially the volunteers and helpers who donate their time. Without you, this crazy vision simply wouldn’t be possible.

Our future leaders need our community behind them. They need to know that we have their backs, no matter where they come from, what they look like, or what challenges they face.

We love watching these young humans work to better themselves, grow, overcome obstacles, and succeed in life. That’s what this is all about.

Thank you to everyone who continues to believe in the vision.

And if you’d like to lock yourself into supporting our next Backpack Drive or would like to donate, reach out to [email protected] to learn how you can give back.

This is bigger than sports.

This is community. This is opportunity. This is CYOJ. ❤️

🚨 CYOJ HitLab 12U Softball Head Coach Announcement 🥎🚨

We are proud to announce Coach Beau Craig as the Head Coach of our CYOJ HitLab 12U Softball team!

Born and raised in Salem, Beau is a North Salem High School graduate and former All-State third baseman. He continued his baseball career on scholarship at Chemeketa Community College and Linn-Benton Community College before transitioning into coaching.

Beau has coached JBO 14U teams and North Salem’s American Legion summer baseball program, and he continues to give back to the game through West Salem Little League, where he coaches his daughter, Lyla, in softball, and his son, Camden, in baseball.
