What do you think? In my previous, long ago, young life, I nannied for a very special family. I attended their graduations and marriages in Nevada and remained very close with them. Well, my Kate has moved back to CT with her beautiful family, her kiddos call me Nanny Sarah. Kate works at the Essex Historical Society, where I will be this Saturday spinning for an event. Kate designed this for me and I really love it. For those of you who are newer to the page, this is our beloved Stanley Livingston, the star of the farm. He passed away a few years ago, far too soon. He will never be forgotten.

This superstar boy Sherman never ceases to blow me away. He has been here since the beginning, before we were an official 501c3. In 2016 I was tagged in a Craigslist post of this terrified baby in a dark shed. He hadn't sold months earlier with his siblings so she only wanted 80 bucks. I think I gave her 40. He was entirely feral and hated the world. We became besties over tater tots. Our wonderful and favorite Dr G at Tufts Dr diagnosed him as chronically disgruntled, which sums him up in a very neat package. This winter was hard on all the animals here, but perhaps hardest on Sherman. I started him back up on his arthritis meds and gave him his own little barn. The warmer temps have helped for sure, and just look at him now! He will be living inside the house this winter and all winters moving forward. We love you Shermie Sherms.

It occurred to me as I was thinking about Hank playing in the sprinkler yesterday, that I get so caught up in the moment, I forget to post pictures, or really, even take them. There are rescues out there that either have people for this or are so hyper aware that they are constantly taking photos, selfies etc. Given that I already know we have the very best followers , FRIENDS, I apologize. You really will rarely ever see me. This rescue is ALL about the rescues, NOT ME. I will try harder to take that picture or video and POST it. You still won't see me, but maybe you'll come visit to see for yourself. These rescued animals are the sun and I'm just here revolving around them. Content ( that's CONtent not conTENT, damn the English languages) or not, they are loved and cared for beyond measure and isn't THAT what it's about? Come visit and see for yourself. Take photos, just don't get me in them. Random pics for proof of wonderful life.

EDIT: 21 POLES IN THE GROUND!!! I went out today to dig some more holes, I was READY! Pole hole 22 was the death of the augur. Shawn has to order parts to fix it. I am beyond bummed.

It's happening you guys! The cow's paddock is going up! Pole one, 100 to go!
