Just a reminder for those attending today.
Information on K9 Simon’s memorial January 2nd at the Salem High School Auditorium:
- Law-enforcement personnel participating in the procession will meet at the old Donnell Ford 152 Continental Drive Salem at 2:30pm
- The memorial service is open to the public, we request that you arrive no later than 2:45 PM at the Salem high school auditorium to ensure everybody is seated.
- The public is welcome to watch the route if they wish, it will leave at approximately 3 PM and proceed to the Salem high school via E State St and N. Lincoln Ave.
- The ceremony will begin with a walkthrough of K-9 officers and their partners for a final salute. This will be followed by remarks from Police Chief J.T. Panezott, VanEss K-9 Academy owner Eric Stanbro, and Sgt. Mike Garber, the partner of K-9 Simon. The ceremony will conclude with a K-9 prayer read by Brittany Maniscalco.

We are going to set up for a live stream on the city of Salem Police Department K9 page. However, we can make no promises that this will be for sure, it’s dependent on personnel available.
