I felt sorry for the young teen boys walking by and looking longingly at the pantry. Salem Keizer School District has severely restricted access to meals this summer. So I removed the sign limiting pantry access to adults and almost immediately received these photos from a neighbor.

NO KIDS IN THE PANTRY (AGAIN). IF YOU ARE UNDER 18, YOU MUST HAVE A PARENT SUPERVISING YOU.

Food is needed by families and when a small group of boys chooses to waste it, EVERY KID IS LOCKED OUT OF THE PANTRY. Let those boys know how you feel about it USING YOUR WORDS.

There was also a fresh garden squash thrown against their garage door. If I get other photos from neighbors OR see evidence of produce waste on my dog walks—kids will not get to use the produce stand either. JUST STOP IT!!!
