At Creekside Rotary, Salem OR we ❤️ to support local businesses and entrepreneurs. We are thankful to have had the pleasure of hearing from a local author, William Cook, at a recent meeting. He has written several Novella’s and book series, but his most recent stand alone novel, Persona, is his latest hit. He shared a short reading and then shared his writer’s journey & how others can write their own book if they have interest. He was such a great communicator and an amazing guest for our Club.
If you are interested in reading his latest psychological thriller, Persona, you can find it on Amazon. The novel is set here in Salem and definitely has some dark twists and turns. He will also be at Books N Time in Silverton on March 28th for a meet and greet and short reading. You should go! 📖

Last week we welcomed the owners of Santiam Brewing Restaurant and Tasting Room as our guest speakers. Owners, Ian & Jim, shared their inspiring journey of opening their brewery in Salem, OR and creating what many call the best fish & chips in the Valley, blending English pub tradition + American favorites. We love celebrating local businesses that make Salem stronger! Be sure to check them out & put them on your MUST VISIT list for lunch or dinner. Check out their page and give them a like! This years 4th of July Co****le Tournament was an amazing success! We are so thankful for all that helped support by sponsoring and by showing up for a fun afternoon. Special thanks to Maps, AmeriTitle, Coin Jam, E Street Salon, Compass Visual, Christmas Light Guys, Montgomery Construction Group, Jackson Home Team, and Kilgore Blackman for being board sponsors. We raised over $5,000 that goes into the Creekside Rotary Foundation and gets spent in our community helping causes like Veterans, youth, victim assistance, HART, etc. Also our club is always looking for more members that want to be active in the community. So don't hesitate to come visit one of our meetings, we are open to the public!

Andrea Castañeda will be presenting April 10th 12:15-1:30 at Creekside Banquet Room. Last year we has a great conversation where Andrea was very open with us about what she felt was working and where she felt there was a need for improvement (33% reading literacy etc.). Ms. Castañeda Walked into a hard position and could use all of the support and feedback possible. Please join us in representing our community and children.
