Important Update for Our Cattaraugus County Family Opportunity Center Families

We want to share an important update about the future of the Cattaraugus County Family Opportunity Center.

Families received an email today with more detailed information, please take a moment to review it if you haven’t already.

We recently learned that New York State funding for Family Opportunity Centers will end on April 30, 2026 due to a statewide reduction. This decision is not related to our performance or the impact of this work, but it does affect services like those offered through our center.

The Cattaraugus County Family Opportunity Center has been a place where families can connect, access support, and build relationships within the community.

Please know this: we are continuing to meet with funders and explore what may be possible.

While we do not yet have confirmed funding in place, we will keep you updated in the days and weeks ahead as we have more to share.

Due to weather conditions, our upcoming Ice Skating Event has been canceled.

The rink is an outdoor facility, and with the warmer temperatures and rain, the ice is unfortunately not available.

The Cattaraugus County FOC would like to send a huge thank you to Markie Phillips for welcoming us into the Salamanca Youth Center and allowing us to spend time with such an amazing group of youth!

The kids had a great time making Valentine’s Day crafts and enjoying some pizza, lots of creativity, and plenty of smiles 💌🍕

Thank you again to Markie and her awesome staff for all that you do for our community — we truly appreciate the opportunity to collaborate!

EPIC is excited to host Literacy on the Move this Friday from 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM at Cattaraugus Little Valley Elementary School in partnership with Cattaraugus-Little Valley Central School District and the Olean YMCA!

This is a free, family-friendly event open to the community. Families can enjoy:

🎨 Crafts & activities
📖 Fun literacy-based games
🏰 A bounce house for the kids!
