👟 HAPPY FEET REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!

If your school-age child lives within one of the Salado, Bartlett or Holland school districts and needs a new pair of shoes, you can register now through September 30. Registration may close sooner if capacity is reached.

Happy Feet will be held Saturday, October 17, 2026, at First Baptist Church of Salado. Registered children will receive new shoes and socks, along with a Book Gift Bag. Families will also be served a light snack meal.

A parent or guardian and the registered child must attend to select the shoes.

Heart and Hands Ministries would like to thank all who participated in our Apple Tree “Back to School Clothes” project. Because of your generosity 187 kids in our communities are going back to school with a new outfit and a smile. Thanks so much!!

We need our community to step up for local kids!

This year, nearly 175 students are registered through the Apple Tree Project and need help with a new back-to-school outfit — more than double last year’s need!

Sponsors can select a child and purchase one top and one bottom to help them start the school year with confidence.

Time is short — the final drop-off day is August 5 (at the Food Pantry)

Today, Saturday July 18th is the SummerFood Drive for Heart and Hands Ministries @ Salado Brookshire’s from 8:00-2:00pm. Come support our local food pantry by buying a Brown Bag, shop our food list, or monetary donations . Anything helps families in our community.

1. Brown Bag of Hope — July 12
Brookshire Brothers’ Brown Bag of Hope program gives shoppers an easy way to help by purchasing a $10 bag of food or essential items that will be distributed to Heart & Hands for the food pantry.

2. Heart & Hands Summer Food Drive — Saturday, July 18
Join us at Salado Brookshire Bros from 8:00 AM–2:00 PM as we collect food and personal hygiene donations for families in the Salado area.

Most-needed items include breakfast foods, snacks, jelly, cookies, crackers, meaty soups, beans, canned fruit, ramen noodles, mac & cheese, spaghetti sauce and noodles, and personal hygiene items.

Every donation helps us care for our neighbors. Thank you for supporting Heart & Hands Ministries!

Heart and Hands Ministries will NOT distribute food on Saturday, January 24th, due to possible icy wintery weather. We will distribute food the following weekend, Saturday, January 31 from 9am- 11am. Please tell those who may need our service. Stay warm and safe until then!

We are partnering with KWTX for Food4Familes. Please come out and support Heart and Hands Ministries in feeding those in need. We will be at Brookshire Brothers in Salado all day, come rain or shine. Have a blessed Thanksgiving.
