The Lainey Bug Foundation was established in memory of 1 year-old, Lainey Schmelzle, and her courageous battle with ATRT, in order to provide financial aid, emotional support, and practical resources to families facing similar situations.

This past Saturday, a few members of our family participated in the Stanley Jett golf tournament. A HUGE thank you to the Stanley Jett Foundation for donating a portion of the proceeds to our foundation! We cannot wait to use these funds to help other families💜

Our PO Box number has changed!! If items were sent to box 47 we will still recieve them, so do not worry!

We are still about a month away from making our delivery to Children’s Hospital!

A BIG thank you to the Ste. Genevieve Stingrays swim team for their recent fundraiser. Throughout their season they sold swim caps to swimmers across Southeast Missouri and raised $750 for the Lainey Bug Foundation 💜

We are so grateful for the love and support our community has shown towards us in our time of need. We would love to continue showing this support to the kiddos at St. Louis Children’s Hospital who are not as fortunate.

We will be doing a fleece blanket drive and toy drive to donate to the hospital the last week of August. We will be accepted donations until August 23rd!!💜

May is here, and it's more than just another month – it's 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗧𝘂𝗺𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵! 🧠🎗️

I've spent the last two days trying to put into words the proper thank you for this post, and there just isn't any. I look at this picture and tears fill my eyes. The amount of love and support Drew, Kassey, and our families have been shown has been so overwhelming that words are not enough 🥹 Because of everyone's generosity, we are able to assist Drew and Kassey with Lainey's medical expenses AND open a non-profit honoring her, where we can help other families in the same situation (stay tuned)! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU 💜💛💜
