This Wednesday Wisdom is from St. Josephine Bakhita. Born in Sudan in 1869, she endured the horrors of enslavement as a child before eventually finding freedom and becoming a religious sister in Italy. Despite the suffering she experienced, she embraced a life rooted in faith, forgiveness and love for others. Her words continue to inspire us today.

At the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, this message is at the heart of our mission. Every home visit, every food delivery and every act of assistance is an opportunity to share Christ’s love with a neighbor in need.

This Wednesday, let St. Josephine Bakhita remind us that because we have been loved by God, we are called to love others — not just in words, but through our actions.

How will you show compassion to someone today?

Oh what a beautiful day! Gorgeous weather & surroundings provided our conference with a wonderful fellowship outing today! We started the day with a tour, then lovely rosary walk where we prayed the rosary as a group at the grotto. Then, we headed to a delicious lunch! Many thanks to Association of the Miraculous Medal & Mary Jane Burgers & Brew for the hospitality today!
