Our hearts are full, but unfortunately, so is our sanctuary. We have reached the point where every adoption truly makes a difference—not only for the cat who finally gets a family, but for the next frightened, hungry, or abandoned little one who may need us tomorrow. We have so many incredible cats and kittens waiting. Some are playful and silly, some just want to curl up in your lap, and others have been overlooked for far too long. Every single one of them deserves to know what it feels like to be chosen.
Teri and I are the only two caregivers running our sanctuary, and we are doing everything we can, but we desperately need our community's help. If you have room in your home and heart, please consider adopting instead of shopping. You may think you're saving one cat, but by opening a space at our sanctuary, you're actually helping us save another one too.
Many of our babies are already spayed or neutered and vaccinated. For kittens who are still too young, Second Chance Sanctuary will help make the necessary arrangements through our veterinarian.
And if you cannot adopt, PLEASE SHARE. Your share might reach the person who has been waiting for one of these babies without even knowing it yet.
🐾 They don't need perfect homes. They need loving, forever homes.

We still have three more cats to catch at this property, including this beautiful little orange girl. 🧡

Little by little, I’m gaining her trust. I’m not sure if she is the mama to the kittens because they are constantly following her around, but the heartbreaking part is she is just a kitten herself. She can’t be more than about 8 months old.

Whether she is their mama or simply their little protector, she deserves a chance at a life where she doesn’t have to survive outside. We’re going to keep working on gaining her trust and getting all three to safety. 🐾❤️

Three more to go. We’re not leaving them behind.

Meet Hope & Chance, two precious siblings who absolutely adore each other. ❤️ Just look at them curled up together. They are each other’s comfort, safety, and best friend.

You would never know by looking at these sweet babies what they have already survived.

Hope and Chance came from an abandoned property where they were left behind with no food and no water. They were skin and bones, trying to survive on their own. 💔 Even more heartbreaking, neighbors told us they wouldn’t even throw them a little food because they “hated cats.”

And yet, somehow, these babies still love people. 🥺❤️

After everything humans failed to give them, they still want affection. They still trust. They still purr. They still have so much love to give.

They deserved better from the very beginning, and now we want to make sure the rest of their lives are filled with everything they went without: food, safety, warmth, kindness, and most importantly, LOVE.

Please consider opening your heart and home to Hope & Chance. We would absolutely love to see these bonded siblings find their forever home together. 🏡❤️

They survived the worst together. Now let’s help them experience the BEST together.
