Our Story

Our roots go all the way back to 1939, when Nancy Susan Reynolds purchased the original land along the banks of the Village Creek. With the intention of upholding the integrity of the estate, Nancy built a a compound of 6 cottages on the land. Visitors of Musgrove are awestruck by the lush plant life, serene seaside marsh, and kindhearted southern hospitality. We host weddings, non-profit retreats, conferences, and events. Our pristine and tranquil environment is the perfect setting to create lasting memories and a feeling of ease you won’t find anywhere else. The draping canopy of oak trees and waterfront backdrop provide a dreamy place for wedding day photos you’ll be eager to share with friends and family. Onsite, we offer facilities and activities like: a pool, whirlpool bath, tennis courts, fishing, crabbing, kayaking, canoeing, and horseback riding. Take a walk through the vibrant Podocarpus maze or enjoy your morning jog down our 3-mile driveway. Wandering around the grounds will leave you feeling refreshed, inspired, and restored.
