Twelve years ago, September 24th, many lives were changed. An accident returning to Athens took the life of Jacob Nyenhuis (on the right) and seriously injured Matt McCormick (on the left). These three young men (Michael Warren in the middle) started with a bible study group in 6th grade and as high school rolled around they were the last three remaining from the original group. Locally the groups were called 707 groups because the meeting time was at 7:07 in the morning one day a week during the school year. The study group, and the unfortunate accident, shaped Michael. Today we remember Jacob and lift his family and friends up in prayer. And we remember Matt (and his family) and how his life has changed over the last twelve years. At Michael's service in 2010 Matt explained to us that he must have been the 0 in the 707 group because both Jacob and Michael were now perfect, and the number for perfection in the Bible is 7. Matt is no 0 but his perspective was a powerful reminder. In that perfection is our Hope and belief of spending eternity with our loved ones that have finished their race while we are left to continue His work here on Earth.

With tomorrow's annual Georgia-Florida game we had to share this photo from the game in 2009. Michael went to school with these three ladies from elementary school to the University of Georgia. Now they all have new last names! Go Dawgs!

MICHAEL'S ULtIMATE MISSION is celebrating two of Michael's passions: photography and the University of Georgia. He snapped this beauty November 10, 2007 when he joined 93,000 fans, most dressed in black, to welcome the Auburn Tigers to Sanford Stadium. The South's oldest rivalry continues tomorrow.
