Thanks to everyone who made the 3rd Annual Brooks McDonald Greenwing event possible yesterday.

In addition to our sponsors, we’d like to thank the Wildlife Resources Division - Georgia DNR for facilitating the event and Law Enforcement Division - Georgia DNR for helping keep it safe.

A big congrats to our winners as well, who stuck around through some terrible weather.

Parents,
If your child is bringing their own shotgun for the shooting event please make sure the weapon is clear and in a carrying case upon entering the event. No ammo should be carried with the gun. Shells will be provided at the shooting stations.

A safety brief will be conducted after registration by GA DNR. All shooters are required to wear ear and eye protection. We will have them at the shooting stations.

We are excited for this event to kick off tomorrow and are looking forward to seeing everyone. Thank you to all our sponsors for making this day possible to allow our community to bring their children out to get them involved in the outdoors.

See y’all tomorrow (Sunday) at 12:30 at Altama WMA Plantation.

This years 3rd Annual Brooks McDonald Greenwing Event will be held Sunday, March 8th, 2026. The sign-up QR code is located on the flyer below. Get your kiddos signed up. Last year we were the largest DU Greenwing Event in the state of Georgia and may have been top 5 in the nation. We hope to continue to grow and surpass those numbers. Please share this and spread the word. Let’s get our youth involved in the outdoors. Our committee is excited and can’t wait to see everyone this year at the event.
