We have lived in a dangerous community for decades. Industries here generate millions if not billions of dollars.

Why do we not have safety measures in place? Sound an alarm. Provide real-time, 24 hour online monitoring data for us all to see.

We need safety measures in place to protect our people.

Air Products Blue Energy Facility Public Hearing - April 16, 2026. Kimbrelle Eugene Kyereh, the executive director of Refined Community Empowerment, Inc., spoke on this day to oppose carbon capture storage and in support of community health, safety, and ENVIRONMENTAL PEACE.

A town hall meeting was held 3 days prior to prepare for this public hearing.

Preparatory Town Hall Meeting for the Air Products Blue Energy Facility Public Hearing hosted by Earthworks, CIEL and Healthy Gulf- April 13, 2026. Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. wants to inject carbon dioxide under the ground permanently in Louisiana. We cannot allow this to happen!

March 29, 2026 - Elkinsville-Freetown Oral Histories Book Reveal: The Oral Histories book was written by Dr. Michael (Mike) Levien, Johns Hopkins Associate Professor of Sociology. The purpose of this project was to help protect Elkinsville-Freetown, a historical community in St. Rose, Louisiana, from further environmental harm.

A big thank you to Mike, Elkinsville Historic Restoration Association, and our wonderful Elkinsville-Freetown/St. Rose residents who gave of their time and energy to share their lived experiences. We love you all! 💚💛❤️

St. Rose, Louisiana residents, report that sickening, noxious chemical fumes to LDEQ and 911 that you woke up to in your homes and while your children are waiting for their school bus.

It’s burning my nostrils, throat, and causing headache and nausea. Report how it makes you and your family feel.

🥹 It is sad, but true.......The Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ) granted the St. Charles "Clean" Fuels (SCCF) an air permit to add MORE pollution to St. Rose, Louisiana in St. Charles Parish despite community concern and outcry for protection.

The SCCF "Blue" Ammonia Plant with Carbon Capture Storage needs two more permits to operate: Army Corp of Engineers and Louisiana Department of Conservation and Energy.
