Attention highschool students and parents of highschool students! NOW is the time to think about internships. Here's one to get you started - and it's paid!

Starting in September 2026, participants of the Junior Docents internship program will develop their own science communication and research project with mentorship from Hudson River Park staff and partner scientists. Docents will complete 40 hours total, with an 8-week after-school intensive program in fall 2026 and additional flexible service hours in spring 2027.

We are looking for driven students with an interest in marine science, environmental education and ecology. This internship is open to rising sophomores and juniors. We encourage local teachers to share this opportunity with students who may be interested; we hope to interview potential interns throughout the summer in preparation for our September 16, 2026 start date.

The C4OE team is honored to contribute to the cause and we hope you all come out on Friday to support our friends and colleagues at the University of South Florida College of Marine Science!
