TIPS to APPLY
• Research available positions and compare requirements with your skills/experience

• Apply to positions that you feel you are competitive for

• Tailor Resume to the position(s) you are applying to

• Note important dates and put them on your calendar

• Monitor your email - Don’t forget to complete Health History and Assignment Selection Forms


RESUME
• It is OK for Resumes to be

longer than one page as additional info is required
• List relevant experience first; do not include great details about jobs that do not relate to Peace Corps Service

• Include the number of hours per week at each of your work and volunteer experiences

• Key Qualifications category is MUCH better than Objective— tailor your bullets to job you‘re applying for—work in key words from job description—generally 3 or 4 bullets is sufficient

• If you have a Master‘s degree, add it into your first bullet to highlight your education
• If your degree doesn’t reflect the job needs, but you have taken relevant course work, list those relevant courses

INTERVIEW
• Be professional and punctual

• Be your awesome honest self

• Be prepared to speak on several meaningful past/current experiences

• Be informed - Do your research on Peace Corps and the country you’re being considered for

• Be prepared to ask 3 – 5 thoughtful questions
