Congratulations to one our scholarship recipients on graduating from Savannah State University 👏

“Dear Make It Out Foundation,
My name is Michael Barfield Jr., and I graduated from St. Petersburg High School in June 2021. Thanks to your generous support through a financial scholarship, I was able to attend Savannah State University, where I recently graduated on May 9, 2025, with a Bachelor’s degree in Homeland Security and Emergency Management.
I’m writing to sincerely thank you for your support. Your belief in my potential and investment in my education helped me achieve this important milestone. I’m excited to share that I’ve enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard and will be leaving for boot camp at the end of September.
Your scholarship not only provided financial assistance but also inspired me to keep pushing toward my goals. I’m deeply grateful for the role you played in my journey. If there’s any way I can help pay it forward, please let me know. I’ll be home this summer working as I prepare for boot camp.
