St. Pete Raiders Soccer Organization

St. Pete Raiders is a non-profit soccer program offering club and recreational level soccer for children ages 3 -18. Come and see what we are all about.

Pete Raiders started offering youth soccer in 1970. We are a nonprofit organization that provides both Competitive and Recreational programs for players between the ages of 3 and 18. Our mission is to foster the physical, mental, and emotional growth and development of St. Petersburg and Pinellas County youth through the sport of soccer at all ages and levels of competition. Our goal is to provide

a safe, structured, and fair environment in which young players can have FUN playing and learning the game of soccer. We also hope to nurture and develop a lifelong passion for the sport of soccer. The purpose of the Recreational Program here at the St. Pete Raiders Soccer Club is to provide a beginning player and the experienced recreational player an opportunity to play and learn the game of soccer in a friendly atmosphere that stresses FUN and enjoyment of soccer and de-emphasizes the concept of "winning at all costs!"

During the Recreational season, teams are selected on a basis of balance and fairness. A blind draw is used to assure balance between teams. No statistics or scores are recorded during the season to promote the values of FUN & ENJOYMENT while playing and learning the game of soccer. The Competitive Program is for those seeking a more competitive experience and more intensive training. The purpose of this program is to develop and prepare soccer athletes for accelerated levels of competition while still promoting the physical and moral benefits of the game of soccer. Competitive tryouts are held annually in May/June in order to form the teams for the next season. During the season, players receive specialized training by professional coaches and trainers who prepare them for a more competitive environment and experiences. We are sure you will enjoy the experience!

Congratulations to former Raiders coach Jack Paris on being named the inaugural Head Coach of Women’s Soccer at Florida Polytechnic University! ⚽️

Jack brings a strong background to the program with coaching experience at both Eckerd College and Webber International, along with years spent developing youth players throughout the Tampa Bay area. His passion for player development and leadership make him a great fit to build Florida Poly’s women’s soccer program from the ground up.

Jack is also following in the footsteps of his father, Tony Paris, Director of Coaching for the Raiders and a longtime leader in the Tampa Bay soccer community. Tony was the founding head coach of the women’s soccer program at Saint Leo University, where he helped grow the program into a competitive success while impacting countless players and coaches throughout his career.
