We were delighted to have had you here for the 2-week residency, which went by all too quickly! We are all very impressed with your completed works of art and glad to still have some here to show and sell! Congratulations on the sales so far, and may there be many more on the horizon. I'm glad the residency was a learning experience, as intended, with some absolute beauties to show for it.

Yesterday, dozens of home-schooled children had the incredible opportunity to create their own etched glass, tour the gallery, watch a live hot glass demonstration, and interact with the renowned glass artist John Brekke.

Today marks the 6 year anniversary of our DMG School Project store, which contains a bevy of beautiful works of art created exclusively by local artists in our very own hot glass studio, the proceeds of which benefit our educational charity, DMG School Project. It's the perfect place to shop for a hostess gift, glass pumpkins, vases, ornaments, sun catchers, festive glasses, and more.

Aya Oki worked her tail off during her DMG School Project residency a few years ago. We hope she's relaxing today and taking a moment to appreciate all she's accomplished, including being named "Artist of the Month" by Art Alliance for Contemporary Glass (AACG). Congratulations, Aya!

Happy Labor Day to everyone and a big congratulations to hard-working Aya Oki, Art Alliance for Contemporary Glass artist of the month! Aya completed a DMG School Project residency at our studio, spending hours at a time blowing each museum-quality work of art, not counting all the prep work and cane pulling that went into each labor-intensive piece. We're open all day and welcome you to our gallery to see her captivating collection.

We love having the Dali Rec Center children here learning about art and participating by creating their own one-of-a-kind etched glass project!

The Dali Rec Center children from half a dozen schools are learning a lot this week from Duncan during their gallery tour, followed by Christopher Figueroa's tour of the hot glass studio and demonstration of flameworked glass beads. The children will also get to make their own etched glass plates to take with them. .schoolproject.inc
