Look at how we grow with Sami Mangione.

For Momentum Choreographers Showcase: Moving Surreal, these four artists invite us to shift our perspective—to see growth as a spiral, desire as both dream and burden, identity as multidimensional, and the inward journey as a place of discovery.

And you won’t experience these works from a single seat.
Together, we’ll move through The Dalí Museum on a guided performance journey, encountering each work in conversation with the architecture and spaces surrounding it.

Dance becomes another way of looking.
And perhaps, when we look differently, something familiar becomes something new.

Looking inward.

For 2026 Momentum Artist Curvacia Elysée, dreams carry more than images. They can carry messages, warnings, intuition, and traces of cultural memory.

Curvacia brings Dalí’s fascination with dreams into conversation with her own heritage, exploring a cultural understanding of dreams as something that can speak to what has been, what is, and what may still be coming.
But during Momentum, that investigation also became deeply personal.

What originally began as a work created for other dancers transformed into a solo. After years of centering what she could create and give to others, Curvacia turned the choreographic gaze toward herself—challenging herself to take up space, receive attention, and allow herself to be seen.

Inside the Raymond James Community Room, the audience encounters Curvacia at the center of the world she has created.

Sometimes the most surreal journey is the one inward.

Looking at what we yearn for.

For 2026 Momentum Artist Victoria Gonzalez, yearning lives somewhere between dreaming and obsession—the desire for something so deeply that the pursuit itself can begin to consume us.

Created for the Avant-Garden + Mustache, Victoria’s new work moves through the trying, the setbacks, the hope, the frustration, and the suffering we sometimes create when we want a different reality from the one we are living.

Movement meets spoken word as a trio of dancers is joined by a poet, while audience participation brings another layer into the experience. Guests are invited to consider something they yearn for, with those responses becoming part of a poem created within the work.

Inspired by Dalí’s manipulation of time and reality, Victoria asks what happens when our dreams become so vivid that they begin to obscure what is already in front of us.

What happens when we loosen our grip without letting go of the dream?

Looking at who we contain.

Dancer. Teacher. Artist. Friend. One body can hold many selves.

Drawing from the multidimensional nature of Dalí’s imagery, 2026 Momentum Artist Aynsleigh Morehouse explores the different identities we carry and the unexpected threads connecting them.

Inside the Will Raymund Theater, that curiosity becomes a duet between two seemingly different movement worlds: pointe shoes and heels.

What begins in contrast slowly reveals connection. Through partnering, reversible costumes, shifting visual identities, and movement, Aynsleigh asks us to look beyond the first impression and consider how seemingly separate parts of ourselves might belong to the same whole.

Sometimes looking closer reveals what was connected all along.

Looking at how we grow.

For 2026 Momentum Artist Sami Mangione, growth is not a straight line—it spirals.

Using The Dalí’s iconic spiral staircase as both landscape and metaphor, Sami’s new work moves through cycles of returning, revisiting, and progressing.

Created for the Overlook + Stairs, the architecture becomes part of the choreography as the dancers navigate a space that is constantly circling while still carrying them somewhere new.

The idea extends beyond individual growth. Sami considers how we move forward as people, as creative communities, and collectively—sometimes finding ourselves back at something familiar, but never arriving as exactly the same person.

Growth circles back. And somehow, still moves forward.

Created by Curvacia Elysée, Victoria Gonzalez, Sami Mangione, and Aynsleigh Morehouse through projectALCHEMY’s Momentum Choreographic Mentorship, each work begins with a different curiosity—and invites us to see something familiar from another angle.

Rather than remaining in one place, audiences will move through The Dalí Museum on a guided performance journey, encountering each work within the space that has become part of its world.
