Petersburg and have developed

strong partnerships with concerned stakeholders in the community that help us achieve our goals. Whether it’s hosting a neighborhood reunion, providing information to residents about city services or attending group training to obtain the skills we need to be effective in moving from ideas to action, the Neighborhood Association is always involved in community activities that help promote and foster the spirit of love and unity among residents

Labor Day Family Field Day & Cook Out

The Labor Day Family Field Day and Cook Out is a family-centered, neighborhood-focused wellness celebration designed to bring families together through movement, fun, and health education.

We’re creating a space where children, adults, and seniors can enjoy:

⚽ Kickball & field games
🏰 Bounce house
💃 Zumba & line dancing
🥗 Healthy food demonstrations
🧠 Mental health & financial literacy workshops
🏋🏾 Exercise sessions

Who Makes a Neighborhood Better?

A better neighborhood isn't built by it's president.

It isn't built by City Hall.

It isn't built by a nonprofit.

It's built by neighbors.

Neighbors who coach.
Neighbors who organize.
Neighbors who volunteer.
Neighbors who care enough to show up.

Imagine what Childs Park could look like if just 25 more people decided to get involved this year.

That journey continues on August 22.

Not Just Another Meeting

🚨 What if one meeting could change the direction of your neighborhood?

Too often, we hear people say:
“Someone should do something.”

On Saturday, August 22, we’re inviting you to become that “Someone.”

This isn’t a meeting where you just sit in the back and listen.

It’s where we’ll:
✅ Build committees
✅ Match neighbors with projects
✅ Develop leaders
✅ Turn ideas into action

We not looking for spectators.

We are looking for more neighbors who are willing to get involved.
