Step Aside Cancer Awareness Walk
We’re in This Together as a Community!

💗 Walk for a loved one. Walk for yourself. Walk for our community.

Join us for the 4th Annual Step Aside Cancer Breast Cancer Awareness Day as we come together to honor those we’ve lost, celebrate survivors, support those currently facing cancer, and raise awareness about breast cancer in our community.

🚶🏽‍♀️🚶🏾‍♂️ We’re inviting YOU to walk with us!

Whether you’re walking alone or with others, every step represents hope, strength, remembrance, and community support.

💗 Start a walking team! Gather your family, friends, coworkers, church members, or community organization.

💗 Walk in memory of someone you love. Honor their life and legacy.

💗 Walk as a survivor. Celebrate your journey, strength, and resilience.

💗 Walk in support of someone. Stand beside those currently facing cancer.

Rooted in Play is bringing a FREE Popup Adventure Playground right to Childs Park, and you’re invited!

Bring the whole family out for a morning full of creating, building, exploring, and connecting with neighbors. We'll have a massive collection of open-ended materials—think cardboard boxes, fabric, tape, tubes, art supplies, and all kinds of unexpected treasures—for kids to use however their imaginations desire! 📦✨🎨

What to expect: 🆓 100% Free & open to children of all ages and abilities ✨ Child-led fun: Trained playworkers will be there to keep the space safe, welcoming, and inclusive while kids take the lead ⏰ Flexible: Stop by for a few minutes or hang out with us the whole morning

Come relax, chat with neighbors, enjoy the park, and give your kids the time and space to create their own adventures. We can't wait to see you there! 🌳☀️

Join us for Empower • Educate • Connect — a Health & Resource Fair in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
