🇺🇦 Clearwater Stands with Ukraine! 🇺🇸
Ahead of the 35th Anniversary of Ukraine’s Independence, we are delighted to receive another meaningful sign of support for our Ukrainian-American community — an official Proclamation from the City of Clearwater Government.
This Proclamation is especially meaningful to us because it is the third proclamation our UNWLA Branch 124 has received from Tampa Bay area cities in recognition of the 35th Anniversary of Ukraine’s Independence! 💙💛
We extend our sincere gratitude to Clearwater Mayor Bruce Rector and the Clearwater City Council for officially proclaiming August 24, 2026, in recognition of the 35th Anniversary of Ukrainian Independence Day.
We are especially touched that the Proclamation recognizes the large, vibrant, and growing Ukrainian-American community throughout the Tampa Bay area, as well as the work of Ukrainian National Women’s League of America (UNWLA) Branch 124 and our cultural, educational, humanitarian, advocacy, and community initiatives dedicated to supporting Ukraine, helping Ukrainians in need, and preserving our Ukrainian heritage.
To us, this Proclamation is much more than an official document. It is another powerful reminder that Ukraine is seen, Ukrainian voices are heard, and our Ukrainian-American community has become an integral part of Tampa Bay.
At a time when Ukraine continues to defend its freedom and independence, the support of our American cities, elected officials, and neighbors carries tremendous meaning.

🇺🇦 Клірвотер разом з Україною! 🇺🇸
Напередодні 35-ї річниці Незалежності України ми з великою радістю отримали ще один особливий знак підтримки нашої української громади — офіційну Прокламацію від міста Клірвотер.
І ця Прокламація для нас особлива ще й тому, що вона стала вже третьою прокламацією, яку наш 124-й Відділ Союзу Українок Америки отримав від міст Tampa Bay напередодні 35-ї річниці Незалежності України! 💙💛
Щиро дякуємо меру Клірвотера Брюсу Ректору та Міській раді Клірвотера за визнання 24 серпня 2026 року днем, присвяченим 35-й річниці Незалежності України.
Особливо зворушливо бачити в тексті Прокламації слова про велику, активну та зростаючу українсько-американську громаду регіону Tampa Bay, а також окреме визнання діяльності 124-го Відділу Союзу Українок Америки (UNWLA) — наших культурних, освітніх, гуманітарних, адвокаційних та громадських ініціатив, спрямованих на підтримку України, допомогу українцям та збереження нашої культурної спадщини.
Для нас ця Прокламація — значно більше, ніж офіційний документ. Це ще одне підтвердження того, що Україну бачать, українців чують, а наша українсько-американська громада стала невіддільною частиною Tampa Bay.
У час, коли Україна продовжує відстоювати свою свободу та незалежність, підтримка наших американських міст, обраних посадовців і сусідів має для нас особливе значення.
