Lay Pastoral Ministry Institute The LPMI is a four-year ministry formation program for adult lay leaders in the parishes of the Roma

Dei Verbum, #12, 37, promotes the leadership role of the laity in the life and mission of the Church. This call is rooted in the abundant love of the Father, made manifest in Jesus, the Christ, and unleashed upon the Church through the Paschal Mystery by the power of the Holy Spirit. Ministry shows to the world the possibility of transformation, of community, and of unity within diversity. It is a

direct offshoot of the universal call to holiness which is affirmed in Lumen Gentium, chapter 5 and reaffirmed throughout Co-Workers in the Vineyard (USCCB). The Church has a responsibility to help members identify, affirm, support, develop and celebrate the gifts of each member. To this end, we provide the LPMI for the laity to receive appropriate education and formation.
