Time is fleeting, but the memories we share keep our loved ones close. This memory popped up today... The day I delivered a barracuda print to my amazing fish friend, Jason Gell.

Jason had such a deep appreciation for the ocean and fishing — it felt like he connected with every fish I painted. (And he brought me so many!) His joy and enthusiasm were contagious, and it made moments like that delivery so special.

Though he’s no longer with us, the memories remind me how lucky I was to know him.

Here’s to Jason and to cherishing the connections that make this crazy life meaningful. Miss you, J!
