After listening to bereaved families and the healthcare teams who support them, we came to understand just how incredibly hard the journey to the mortuary and round the hospital can be. It is a moment no family ever expects, and one that deserves care, dignity and respect.

To help make this part of care a little gentler, we would like to introduce our Privacy Prams.

Our Privacy Prams provide a safe, dignified and discreet way for babies and children to be transferred, helping to protect families from further distress during an already heartbreaking time.

Each Privacy Pram includes:
🤍 A double hood to offer increased privacy
🤍 A small “Respect My Privacy” sticker
🤍 A handmade carrycot that is specifically designed to meets infection control requirements

Every pram is carefully made by our team, with compassion at the heart of each detail. Because of this, each one takes time to create and place where it is needed most.

There are hospitals currently waiting for a Privacy Pram. If you would like to support this work, it is possible to fundraise to provide one for a hospital on our waiting list. Each pram costs £500 and can make a real difference to families during one of the hardest moments of their lives.

As is our custom here on Silent Grief, every first of a new month we give parents, grandparents, and siblings a place to honor and remember their child’s birthday, angelversary, or any other special occasion that took place in the month. Today, December 1, we remember all of our December children.
