Join us at 8a on July 4th for a holiday ride from the *St Pete Bike Co-op* in St Pete to Pass-a-grille. Note that the start location was changed to the Bike Co-op due to conflicts with other events at the pool on Saturday.

There will be groups riding at various speeds (16, 18, 20, etc). Non members are welcome — you just need to sign a waiver before rolling out.

A leadership update from St. Pete Bike Co-op

Our founder and President, Carrie Waite, is stepping down as President effective June 3, 2026. She’s not leaving the Board quite yet. She’ll stay on as a Director at Large to help with a smooth transition.

Kendall Reid steps down as VP and will be staying on to continue mentoring and advising as Director at Large.

Please join us in welcoming:

Michael Collins as our new President.

Nick Amheiser as our new Vice President.

Michael and Nick will serve as co-chairs of the Board.

Our longtime Treasurer, Denise Landay, plans to resign soon but is staying until we find a replacement. Are you looking for an opportunity to give back to the community? Do you have accounting skills or treasurer experience? Please email a letter of interest to [email protected].

The Howard Frankland Bridge Trail (HFB) opened on Wednesday, a long-awaited project for local cyclists and trail lovers—especially those in St. Petersburg. It runs seven miles from St. Petersburg to Tampa, connecting to the Courtney Campbell Causeway Trail to Clearwater.
