We were glad to join Senator Rick Scott and the U.S. Senate Special Committee on Aging for an important conversation about prescription drug shortages and how they’re affecting older Americans.

When medications aren’t available, it’s not just an inconvenience, it can impact a person’s health, independence, and overall quality of life. That’s especially true for seniors and for women as they age.

At the roundtable, AARP highlighted the need for stronger solutions, including better visibility into the drug supply chain and building a strategic reserve of key ingredients to help prevent future shortages.

We’ll keep working to make sure older adults have access to the safe, affordable medications they rely on every day.
