The Academy of Finance focuses on broad, transferable skills and stresses understanding and demonstration of financial industry elements such as: accounting, financial planning; management; banking, credit, economics; money management, technology; investments, and insurance. AOF establishes an on-going relationship that involves corporate executives, school personnel, parents and students, and res

ults in paid internships, scholarships, and employment opportunities. The Academy of Finance began in 2003 at Northeast High School. This program prepares students for careers in business and finance with challenging courses which include instruction in accounting, insurance, banking and credit, financial computing, international investments, financial planning and securities. Students are provided opportunities to enter into paid internships with local financial service companies during the summer of their senior year, and many offers of part-time employment during the school year are provided

Sophomores in AoF visited Jacksonville today! Our field trip took us to the Federal Reserve Bank, a lollipop making demo at a local candy store and University of North Florida!

A HUGE thanks to the AOF Advisory Board for celebrating my retirement with me recently! I felt so honored. Sadly, I was enjoying myself so much I forgot to take a group photo, but please know how much it meant that you were there either in person or in spirit! One last celebration at Green Bench next Saturday, and then I'm clocking out for good! It has been an honor to work with the AOF faculty, administrators, students, NEHI faculty, and district support staff. What a great team. I feel so comfortable knowing I pass the baton into such capable hands. I love you all!
