Africans Have a Right to Resist

Africans Have a Right to Resist "Each generation must discover its mission, fulfill it or betray it, in relative opacity."---Frantz Fanon

InPDUM is a grassroots organization, led by the black working-class community. It was founded in 1991 in Chicago by the African People's Socialist Party. InPDUM membership is open to anyone united with democracy for the African community and that self-determination is the highest expression of democracy. InPDUM is a courageous organization that stands as a beacon to people everywhere who are used

to seeing our so-called leaders sell-out to fill their own pockets. InPDUM is known and respected around the world for demanding reparations to African people for slavery and colonialism, demanding an end to the police containment of our communities, pushing for real economic development instead of more police, protecting the dignity of our children as intelligent, capable and talented human beings, and taking the right stand on many other issues that face the African community, even when it is unpopular to do so.

General information

Convention call out: As the crisis of the U.S. government gets deeper the attacks on Africans get worse. More and more Africans are being murdered by the police while our youth are sent to prison. More of our homes are being stolen through mortgage foreclosure while the government provides bailouts for banks. Trillions are given to the ruling elite of the auto industry while Black unemployment continues to skyrocket. Not one penny has gone to Haiti relief. The 9th ward of New Orleans is gone forever! We can’t wait on a criminal government to solve our problems. If African people are to know freedom and happiness again, we must resist! We are not the Democratic Party who calls for police programs like stop and frisk and gang initiatives. We are not the Republican Party who calls for the closure of schools and the building of prisons. We are the International People’s Democratic Uhuru Movement. We demand reparations and independence for African people. We call on the poor and oppressed African community to resist the U.S. war on the black community! Attend InPDUM's National Convention scheduled for Feb 19-21 in Philadelphia, PA. Online registration link: http://inpdum.org/convention2011/registration_form.html
