SOAR would like to give a huge shoutout to our wonderful friend Anna Cooke, creator and editor of The THE NEW BARKER magazine, who came through big time yesterday for the SOAR pet food bank, for those in need, located at Daystar Life in St. Pete https://daystarlife.org/
I recently talked to Anna and told her how we are going through so much pet food at the food bank and that for the first time since we opened the pet food bank in 2019, we have run out of food and had empty shelves several times, including this past week again.
Anna told me she would check with some of her sources and see what she could do, and she came through big time.
Yesterday morning we had a big pallet of premium pet food (almost 1500 lbs.) delivered to Daystar.
It was also great to see that some other pet food and supply donations had come in during the past week from individual donors dropping off pet food.
It may not mean a lot to some people, but it means the world to those people who have fallen on hard times and can barely afford to feed their pets and would otherwise have to give up their pets to shelters.
Soar, is so grateful to the "Anna Cooke's" of the world and so many of you who have dropped donations off at Daystar.
You make all the difference in the world and we are forever grateful.
