What if one of the most effective ways to support brain health was already part of your daily routine? 🧠 June is Alzheimer's & Brain Health Awareness Month, and we're highlighting the powerful link between physical movement and cognitive wellness.

Recently, Westminster Communities of Florida VP of Healthy Aging and Longevity, Kelly Strandburg, spoke with FOX 13 News - Tampa Bay about how adding simple mental and physical challenges to our exercise routines can strengthen cognitive function.

You can never be too ready! 🫀🚑 Our community recently came together for an incredibly important day of CPR and AED training. Empowering ourselves with these vital, life-saving skills is a cornerstone of elevating our well-being.

We extend our huge thanks to the St. Petersburg Fire Rescue for sharing their valuable time and expertise with us! We love living in a neighborhood where cultivating a happy, healthy life means actively building a safer environment for everyone.

We were thrilled to celebrate the premiere of the documentary From Shore to Shore: A Living Legacies Project! 🎬

This inspiring film brings the incredible World War II histories of four residents of Westminster Communities of Florida to the big screen. Their stories of resilience and achievement reminded all of us what it means to elevate well-being, find joy, and live with purpose every single day.

Bringing these narratives to life was a fantastic collaborative effort. We were honored to celebrate the launch alongside Vice President of Healthy Aging & Longevity Kelly Stranburg.

Our deepest thanks go to Talegate4Joy Founder Jack York and his talented production team for capturing these stories so beautifully, and to Vice President of Philanthropy Jeff Coates and Westminster Communities Foundation for the generous support that makes it possible to preserve these histories.

A culinary passport to the world's finest flavors! 🌍🍽️

Our community had the pleasure of exploring the flavors of Earth during dinner at the Bayou. We began our adventure with a comforting Japanese Shabu Shabu soup and a vibrant Pomegranate Frisee Salad, then enjoyed an incredible trio of global entrées: NY Strip with Port Wine Mushroom Demi, Pollo con Crema with Fire-Roasted Corn Salsa, and Chinese BBQ Pork!

This spectacular event is a perfect example of how our talented culinary teams find opportunities to highlight cuisine from all around the world in our scratch-cook kitchens. For us, elevating our well-being means savoring these intentional, scratch-made meals that make creating happy, healthy, purposeful living so incredibly delicious!

Smooth sailing and beautiful mornings! ⛵🌅

We love setting sail to explore the gorgeous waters of Boca Ciega Bay. It was such a treat to watch our talented neighbor Fran take the helm and guide us through the gentle waves during our latest nautical outing. For us, creating happy, healthy, purposeful living means embracing these unique outdoor adventures that bring us closer to nature and closer to one another as neighbors.

Three beautiful communities, one unforgettable experience! 🍽️✨

Our community had the absolute best time participating in our progressive dinner series with our sister neighborhoods, Westminster Suncoast and Westminster Palms. We kicked off the night with delicious appetizers in the lovely Suncoast Garden, traveled to Alta Marina for a spectacular dinner, and wrapped up the evening with sweet treats on the breathtaking rooftop patio at Palms.

Elevating our well-being is naturally easy when we have such incredible sister neighborhoods to share these joyful moments with!

Knowledge is the best defense! 🛡️✨

Our community extends a huge thank-you to the Northeast Exchange Club of St. Pete for bringing two wonderful detectives from the St. Petersburg Police Department to deliver an essential presentation on identifying fraud and scams.

Equipping ourselves with the right tools to navigate the modern world with total confidence is key to staying safe. We are always so thankful for our local resources that keep us secure and well-informed!

Our kayak regatta certainly did not disappoint! 🚣‍♂️💙

More than 25 of us took to the water for what we fondly called a little 'bayou boogie woogie' out on the water. In our community, promoting active aging means splashing into new adventures and staying moving.

We learned a little more about living and a lot more about our collective love for the bay, proving that elevating our well-being is always a breeze when we are paddling together!

The outlaw cowboys took over Alta Marina, and our community was ready for the challenge! 🤠🕵️‍♂️

We had the absolute best time putting our detective skills to the test during our latest interactive mystery dinner play to discover exactly who stole the loot. Donning our finest cowboy boots and western hats, we spent the evening singing along to classic tunes, laughing with neighbors, and piecing together the clues.

Creating happy, healthy, purposeful living is so natural when our evenings are packed with this much creative energy and shared excitement!
