At Shores Academy, there’s always something new to learn, and someone wonderful to learn from! 📚🙌

Our second day was filled with knowledge, personal stories, and creative expression as our neighbors shared presentations on everything from table tennis strategies and the Federal Reserve to education at Attica State Prison, Operation Yellow Ribbon on 9/11, and the 30th anniversary of the Atlanta Olympics.

Our play-reading group also took the spotlight with a special performance, making the day even more memorable.

When we share our experiences and learn from one another, we strengthen community connections and keep life vibrant. 💙

More than 35 presenters. Countless opportunities to learn! 📚 The 2026 Shores Academy is underway, bringing our community together to share knowledge, explore new ideas, and discover new interests.

From local marine life and colored-pencil painting to journaling, healthy smoothies, AI in healthcare, and our chapel organ, day one featured fascinating topics led by our very own neighbors.

When we learn from one another, we strengthen connections and keep life vibrant. Here’s to active aging, lifelong learning, and happy, healthy, purposeful living—and to all the discoveries still ahead!

What a way to kick off ! Walking together and making every step count. 💜👟

This weekend, we joined our sister communities, Westminster Palms and Westminster Suncoast, at the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Neighbors and team members came together to raise funds, increase awareness, and support individuals and families affected by Alzheimer’s disease.

In the weeks leading up to the walk, our communities rallied around a shared goal—knowing that every contribution and every step brings hope for a future with better answers.

Walking with purpose, supporting one another, and giving back are all part of happy, healthy, purposeful living.

It’s safe to say our '70s Party was one for the books! 🪩🕺✨

The music was playing, the dance floor was packed, and the whole room was full of smiles, laughter, and great conversation. We even had a wonderful group of guests join us for the fun, and we loved getting the chance to show them what living here is all about.

Honestly, we are still talking about it—a few of us are already calling it the best party we’ve had yet!

A big thank you to everyone who came out and brought the energy, and an extra special shoutout to our incredible team members who put so much effort into making the event unforgettable! 🎶💃

Another pickleball tournament is in the books! 🏓🎉 We brought plenty of energy to the court, with steady dinks, friendly competition, and lots of laughter along the way.

Staying active, trying new challenges, and enjoying time with friends are all part of promoting active aging and elevating well-being for better living.

A little mystery makes lunch even more fun! 🤩🍽️

Our recent Men’s Mystery Lunch took us to The Wheelhouse on Central Avenue, giving us another chance to discover one of the many local restaurants right in our own backyard.

Great food, new places, plenty of conversation, and even better company make outings like this such a wonderful part of community life!
