💡 Did you know? Because of the support from United Way Suncoast, families in our community now have access to our Work Readiness Training Class with NCCER certification AND Forklift Certification (good for 3 years!).
This grant helps remove financial barriers, providing life-changing training that leads to stronger careers, stability, and brighter futures. 🙌

💛 Virginia’s Story 💛

For Virginia, the Florida Dream Center has been so much more than a place to receive help—it has been a place of friendship, support, prayer, and community.

Through FLDC, Virginia has received food, clothing, and encouragement during difficult times. She shared that having access to our food pantry has eased the burden of worrying about grocery trips when transportation or timing made things challenging. More than anything, she is grateful for the caring volunteers and staff who have shown her kindness every step of the way.

But Virginia’s story doesn’t stop at receiving help. She says the Florida Dream Center has made her feel like she is truly part of the community, and she now finds joy in helping others whenever she can.

Her testimony is a beautiful reminder that when people are loved, supported, and welcomed, hope grows—and that hope inspires us to give back.

“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” – Galatians 6:2 💙

Whether he's leading our Adopt-A-Block work crew, mowing a lawn for a neighbor in need, tackling a code enforcement project, or keeping our vehicles running safely, Mike is always hard at work serving others. 🚜🔧

This Thanksgiving, VOA-FLDC is collecting pantry goods to help local families enjoy a warm holiday meal at home with the people they love. 🥧🍽️

We’re looking for Thanksgiving pantry staples and non-perishable food items to help put together holiday meals for families in our community.

Partnerships make the mission possible. We are thankful for Pinellas Community Foundation Senior Citizens Services and their generous grant supporting Florida Dream Center. This funding helps strengthen our Adopt-A-Block program, allowing us to go out into neighborhoods and serve individuals and families who need a helping hand. 💙 Volunteer Spotlight: Jim 💙

For the past four years, Jim has faithfully served at the Florida Dream Center with a heart full of compassion. He believes that when we've been blessed, we're called to bless others.

Some of his favorite memories are grilling at our Memorial Day and Independence Day cookouts, where serving a meal reminds people they are seen, valued, and never alone.

Jim loves that there are so many ways to make a difference at FLDC—whether it's organizing clothing, delivering food boxes, or simply offering a helping hand. He says one of the greatest blessings of volunteering is the friendships you build along the way.

Jim shared, "Unto whom much has been given, much will be expected." Having experienced both blessings and difficult seasons in life, he finds great joy in paying forward the kindness that others once showed him.

"Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace." — 1 Peter 4:10

Thank you, Jim, for your servant's heart and for faithfully giving your time to help others. Your kindness, humility, and willingness to serve are making a lasting impact on our community. 💛

We are so grateful for Bloodline Awakening and their continued support of VOA-FLDC’s Adopt-A-Block program! 🙌

They’ve joined us several times on Saturday mornings, serving alongside our team and helping us provide food and resources to our neighbors. And the best part? They’re coming back next month! 💙
