ADTBJA Youth Jazz Jam is back October 31st at Pinellas Community Church. If your student plays an instrument and is ready to share a stage, this is the room for them! Elementary through high school, all counties are welcome. Mentors are on site, and every session is built around young musicians getting real time to play.

Piano, bass, and drums are available. Students should have foundational knowledge of their instruments. 🎸
1-3pm | Free to attend | Please note NO costumes allowed at this month’s session.

Monday Night Jazz Jam is free. That’s not an accident, it’s the point. The Al Downing Tampa Bay Jazz Association keeps the doors open every Monday at The Hangar St. Pete so that anyone can walk in, sit down, and hear something real!

What keeps it going is people in the room. If 100 people showed up every Monday night and donated just $5, that’s $500 of donations a week going directly back into youth programs, live music, scholarships, and the next generation of jazz musicians.

No cover. No minimum. Just great music and a chance to be a part of something worth supporting. 7-9pm, every Monday. Downtown St. Pete, Albert Whitted Airport. Arrive early for a table.

We’re not saying to come to every Monday Night Jazz Jam but we are saying come at least once to see the unique art form that jazz is. Every night is different because jazz is improvising, jazz is a feeling, and a jazz stage is ever-changing.

Whether it’s a date night, a family outing, an after-work meetup, or a reason to get out of the house, stop by and grab a chair before 7pm. It’s free and we know you’ll leave feeling a lil more jazzy 🎷🙌

We’re going to keep inviting newcomers because every week we see new faces in the audience! Monday Nights mean something new when you come to from 7-9pm. Just make sure you arrive by 6pm to find a good table and order your food just in time for the jam to begin.

We want to take a moment to say thank you to the Manhattan Casino Event Hall and City of St. Petersburg for the invitation to the Manhattan Casino re-opening! We were thrilled to hear our founder, Mr. Al Downing, mentioned in the history telling of this iconic Jazz staple. And thank you to our house band Vincent Sims Ayrias Pedigo Kenny Walker and Theo Valentine who helped set the vibe for this beautiful event.

Youth Jazz Jam will not meet this month, Sept. 26th. Our board members, staff, and community will be coming together to honor the passing of Gregory Porter, a voice that meant so much to us and to Jazz.

We will be back on October 31st at Pinellas Community Church, 1-3pm. We’ll see you then.
