This past Friday, October 9th, The Salvation Army of St. Petersburg hosted a community health event at our Emergency Shelter in recognition of World Homeless Day.

We were grateful to welcome community partners who connected individuals with valuable resources, including primary health care services, testing and immunizations, mental health support, dental resources, veteran services, and more. Guests also had the opportunity to learn about free health care options and enjoy a complimentary community lunch.

Thank you to all of our participating community partners for helping make these resources accessible to those who need them. Together, we continue working to meet the needs of our neighbors and support individuals and families throughout Southern Pinellas County. ❤️

Our first day of Angel Tree registration is underway! 🎄❤️

We’re excited to welcome families as we begin another season of helping bring joy to children in our community through The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program.

Registration will continue through Friday, October 16, at our St. Pete Church on 9th Ave. N.

📅 Remaining Registration Hours:

Tuesday: 1 PM – 7 PM

Wednesday–Friday: 9 AM – 12 PM and 1 PM – 4 PM

We look forward to serving our community and helping make the holiday season a little brighter for local families!

The Salvation Army of St. Petersburg/South Pinellas County is on the move! Our Emergency Disaster Services (EDS) truck has deployed to Panama City to support communities across the Panhandle recovering from Hurricane Isaias.

Through our Disaster Services, we bring hope, help, and essential resources to those affected by disasters. Please keep our EDS team and all those serving in the field in your prayers as they work to support impacted families and communities.

🦟 Looking out for our community!

This morning, Channel 10 Tampa Bay News joined us as Major Gary Sturdivant, our Officer here at The Salvation Army St. Petersburg Area Command, went out into the community to distribute bug spray to individuals who may be affected by the recent dengue fever outbreak in the Tampa Bay area.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to help our neighbors take an extra precaution and protect themselves and their families. ❤️
